Scope of Practice

Services provided by Nara Functional Medicine & Acupuncture LLC are delivered by a licensed acupuncturist and are limited to the lawful scope of acupuncture practice under applicable state regulations. Services may include acupuncture, Traditional Chinese medicine–based assessment, pattern differentiation, and integrative, functional medicine–informed wellness support.
When laboratory testing is discussed or reviewed, it is limited to nutritional or functional markers related to nutrient status and wellness support. Laboratory information is reviewed for educational and supportive purposes only and is not used for medical diagnosis or disease treatment.
Services do not include medical diagnosis, prescription of medications, or the practice of medicine. Acupuncture and related services are not a substitute for medical care provided by a licensed physician or other qualified healthcare professional.
When appropriate, clients are encouraged to continue care with, or seek referral to, licensed medical or mental health providers for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
